Google is working very hard to provide something not only new but exciting. Google provided excellent Indic transliteration long time before which become very popular all Indic community.  A large number of bloggers currently using Google’s transliteration system. And last year Google did a big blast…. and provided first time in world, real time machine translation for Hindi. An age old, other popular translation tools like bablefish, still not made any move to provide translation with Hindi, despite the fact that Hindi is world’s 2nd most spoken language in the world after Chinese.

Now recently Google made one more milestone…..  by releasing Google talk idic language bots ! New Google talk bots bring real time translation and transliteration!! Yes Google has released translation and transliteration bots for Google talk IM.

Google transliteration bot can simply convert your text from English script to Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil or Telugu script. Here is how:

Now translation bots are really amazing and more intelligent. It provide you ability to talk in other language which you really don’t know.  For example you can talk to your Chinese girlfriend even she don’t know English and you don’t know Chinese.  Wow.

It is very easy to setup and use these Google transliteration bots :

1) First add the bot that you want to your friend’s list. (For example, add en2hi.translit@bot.talk.google.com for Hindi). You just need to do this once.

2) Start a chat session with your friend

3) Convert the chat session to a group chat and invite the bot to it.
